Biography
Samuel Bigiaoui is an architect, teacher and director.
After studying mathematics in preparatory classes and in Paris 6 (Université Pierre-et-Marie-Curie), he obtained his Teaching licence and lectured classes in Nîmes, then Paris.
His concerns and reflexions towards space as an influence on sense drove him to architecture. In 2010, he was accepted at the École nationale supérieure d’architecture Palais-Malaquais where he graduated as an Architect HMONP, his final year project dealt with the interaction between educational methods and architecture.
Fascinated with cinema and theater at a very early age, he joined an acting class at l’Atelier Blanche Salant. He also starred as one of the main characters in the film Reprendre l’été (2016). Between his profession of architect and teacher, he wrote and directed his first documentary, 68, mon père et les clous which won the Jury Prize as well as the Student Prize last year at Champs-Elysées Film Festival. The film will be released in May 2019.
