Biography

A voice, a piano, lyrics, here’s the rare and simple equation of today’s French chanson’s trendiest girlfriend : Juliette Armanet. Always accompanied by her piano, both her « bête noire » and eternal partner in crime and dance, Juliette Armanet has been confiding her mild sentimental madness to a growing audience for almost a year. Between nostalgia and humour, she has created an original aura surrounding her sensual and delicate melodies, between pink and black.

Singer-songwriter, the musician, who’s been working on her texts and melodies since her teenage years, falls in with the legacy of « variété chic » with no complex. Her heady tunes and finely-chiseled lyrics make her the worthy daughter of the big names of French variety such as Sheller, Christophe, Sanson or Tellier. Juliette Armanet released her first album playfully titled Petite Amie, co-produced with Marlon B and Antoine Pesle, a twelve tracks opus feverishly composed with her companion of all times, the piano. A touching, loving kaleidoscope in which the young woman refuses once more to pick a musical side, swinging languorously between long melancholic tracks, private piano-vocal slow-dances and discodeines hits.

A large range to express her tender style as she sharpens her way with words, her whimsical intimacy and above all, her voice.
