Opened 30 years ago, in the Latin Quartier, my father's hardware store is a hotbed for meeting people. It is also the former playground of my childhood. Bricomonge is about to close its doors for good. At the time of inventory and accounts, I accompagny my father during the last moments of the store. And I try to understand what led this Maoist militant of the 1960s-1970s, a graduated, brilliant mind, to sell nails.
Mathematics teacher for 10 years, Samuel Bigiaoui has always been interested in documentary cinema. He currently participates as a character in the documentary film "Dérive d'un été", remake of "Chronique d'un été" by Jean Rouch and Edgar Morin, directed by Magali Bragard and Séverine Enjolras.
In the fall of 2013, he was accepted at Lussas' writing residency for "68, mon père et les clous", the first documentary film he wrote and directed.
