Damien Bonnard
Biography
Damien Bonnard began his career with the National School of Fine Arts. Arrived in Paris, he took drama lessons, participated in internships, then began working with students in film schools.
It is in Sylvain Desclous, Louis Dodin, Hugo Rousselin, Idir Serghine, Armel Hostiou, Rodolphe Pauly or even more recently Ladj Ly’s short films that he interprets his first roles; as well as in the feature films by Bertrand Blier, Virgil Vernier, Brigitte Sy, Delphine and Muriel Coulin and Sylvain Desclous. He will also take part in Fred Scotlande’s serie Loin de chez nous.
In 2016, with Alain Guiraudie, he will have his first main role and a selection in official competition at the Cannes Film Festival with the feature film Rester Vertical.
Since then he has collaborated with Pierre Salvadori, Roman Polanski, F. J. Ossang, Nathan Silver, and Christopher Nolan.
He is currently playing in Anne Fontaine’s next feature alongside Charles Berling, Isabelle Huppert, Lou De Laage, Vincent Macaigne, Jonathan Cohen, Benoit Poelvoorde and Pablo Pauly.
