VIKKEN
VIKKEN is a transdisciplinary artist of the electro scene. In early 2020 he released his first solo project under his own name. From his experiences as a producer and DJ, VIKKEN kept the electronic vibe, the search for textures and downtempo rhythms, as an invitation to letting go.
The final form was born only a few months later when he added texts in French to tracks which were until then instrumental, as a creative, political and cathartic self-evident choice.
Between ambient-pop and electro music, VIKKEN tackles the themes of identity and of questioning norms, in a way that is not very common. He released his first track C’est OK in December 2020, followed by Pour une amie in April 2021, spotted by France Inter Côté Club and Libération in particular.
He won the Prix du Jury des Inouïs in 2021 and released his first EP Joie on June 11 the same year.
