I learn to speak French and by doing so, to sculpt my reality. In an artist's studio in Paris, I meet Linda Demorrir, a living model. Like me, she is transgender and an immigrant. When she speaks, moves, sees the world, I am fascinated. As I draft her outlines, it is myself also that I learn to draw in this new country.

Tomas Cali was born in São Paulo in 1992, he is a director and editor. His first short film produced in Brazil, Tailor (2017), was selected in more than 140 festivals, among them: Tampere Festival, Uppsala Film Festival, AnimaMundi,
Curta Cinema, Gramado Festival (Best Director) and Dok Leipzig.
Recently, he edited the short film Naughty Spot by Jean Costa, selected at Clermont-Ferrand and Premiers Plans d'Angers. The question of marginality, of those who are called “outsiders”, is the continuing thread of his work. The Sketch is his second film.
