For the first time this year, a selection of mid-length features will have their World, French or Parisian Premiere in competition at the festival. Fictions and documentaries, the return of beloved filmmakers at the festival, the exploration of new artistic horizons, six filmmakers (four women and three men) that carry us away and into an introspective, intimate and political journey, from Greece to Marseille, passing by Italy, the streets of Paris until Drancy, the coasts of Brittany to finally end up in the heart of the USA.
Six wonderful discoveries that have provoked as many emotions as they have frights and questions. Six mid-length films that reveal the intelligence and the creative power of a generation of artists that question the current state of the world as well as our state of being, and carefully gaze upon a society in constant mutation.
This new competition will be submitted to the Short Films Jury which becomes the Short Formats Jury in 2023.
