French Tour

Following the end of the 11th edition which took place from June 21 to 28 2022, Champs-Élysées Film Festival launched its latest summer project: The French Tour. Its first edition took place in summer 2022, and offered the premiere of works that shed light on the new generation of American filmmakers to French Audiences. The French Tour took place from July 7 to 20 in 3 French cities: Aix-en-Provence, Cahors and Biarritz, where feature length and short films  were presented, after their screenings in Paris in June, as part of the festival’s official selection. “For our 11th birthday, and in the image of the US Tour, we dearly wish to enhance and promote the new voices of American independent cinema in different French cities. Meeting new audiences, celebrating discovery, creation and freedom together again, finally. Kicking off summer like a roadtrip and offer a wonderful voyage across the American territory. A multiplicity of outlooks on a constantly mutating society, that render solitudes, revolts and angers visible, while bearing witness to a need of freedom, emancipation, and love.”

Justine Lévêque – Artistic Director of Champs-Elysées Film Festival
