SYNOPSIS
On May 8, 2019, yellow vests (Gilets Jaunes) protesters took care of the grave of Gustave Courbet in Ornans. Not far away from there, a former worker of a militant film collective, the Medvedkine groups, found Courbet’s work inspiring. But "we're not going to discuss painting, everyone takes what they want, I don't give a damn!”
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Ewan Barcelo is a doctoral student in anthropology. Tom Devianne graduated from ENS Louis-Lumière and works as an electrician on fiction shoots. They are currently working on a feature-length documentary project about the Medvedkine groups and the political present of the Besançon region.
