Itto, a young woman of modest origins is adapting slowly but surely to the codes of her new bourgeois environment. When surnatural events put the country in a state of emergency, she ends up separated from her husband and her new family. Alone, pregnant and searching for a way out, Itto will find emancipation.

Sofia Alaoui is a French-Moroccan filmmaker who was raised between Morocco and China. Presented as one of the Arab Stars of Tomorrow by Screen Daily, she has directed several documentaries followed by the short film Qu’importe si les bêtes meurent (Jury’s Grand Prize at Sundance 202 and Best Short Film Cesar 2021) followed by The Lake for the 20th Century Fo. Parmi Nous is her first feature film.
