After the release of Jake Blues from prison, he and brother Elwood go to visit the nuns at the orphanage where they were brought up. They learn that the Archdiocese will stop supporting the school. The only way to keep the place open is if the $5000 tax on the property is paid within 11 days. The Blues Brothers decide to put their blues band back together and raise the money by staging a big gig.

The Blues Brothers Band
Born in 1950, John Landis spent his childhood in California. In 1977, Landis directed the sketch comedy Hamburger Film Sandwich. Attracted by the film’s success, the producers entrusted him with directing American College, which proved to be a comedy hit in 1978. He then began work on the blockbuster The Blues Brothers. A fan of the musical genre, Landis offers the audience this acclaimed homage to music and dance.
